Daniela Cristallo's practice traces sensation and place through the fragile materiality of painting, with sculpture emerging as a natural extension. She moves between interior and exterior worlds, each shaping the other. Hers is a feminine lens, and through it, water and the slow unfolding of time drift in and out, never fixed, always returning.

Hand-dyed fabrics, pigmented with materials gathered from her surroundings, are worked with acrylic paint, oil stick and pastel and , at times ,aerosol. Built gradually through repeated layers. Colour moves softly, veiled and slow to settle. Surfaces shift and layer, bound by braided and woven fabric.

The same texture echoes through painting and sculpture. Paper clay is made from kept and reworked paper from the home, alongside woven elements drawn from cherished, found objects. Here, care, tenderness and kinship take shape.

Addition and reworking carry the piece forward, until something felt becomes something made.

"This practice is a slow conversation. A feminine landscape of keeping and holding sits at its centre. Layers fold. Edges soften. What remains is held.’
